CEO (Coporate Europe Observatory) – eine kleine, aber sehr feine lobbykritische NGO in Brüssel – hat einen neuen Blog gestartet zum Einfluss der fossilen Lobby auf die Klimakonferenz in Warschau! Unter anderem berichten sie über einen Artikel auf der offiziellen Website der Gastgeber der diesjährigen COP, in dem das Schmelzen des arktischen Eises als Chance für mehr Ölförderung gepriesen wird. Daraufhin gab es auch wütende Kommentare auf der Website selber:
„Are you aware that a Polish citizen, Tomasz Dziemianczuk, is already held for 16 days in Murmansk by the Russian FSB together with 26 other climate activists and two freelancers, because they made a stance against ongoing climate disruptive practices of in this case Gazprom? Are you aware that they are facing charges of piracy with a potential 15 years sentence? Who are you – sponsored by the largest coal polluter in Europe (PGE), two companies that undermine legislation to make cars more climate friendly (Opel and BMW), and several other companies with debatable climate profiles to throw these heroes on one heap with pirates and terrorists? Simply disgusting. Is this how the Polish presidency cares for the climate?“
Dass sie damit zu weit gegangen ist, hat die polnische Regierung dann wohl auch selber gemerkt:

Nach dem Motto: Tut uns leid, dass Euch unsere Ehrlichkeit verletzt hat. Nächstes Mal stellen wir es schlauer an. Gut, dass CEO und andere ein Augenmerk darauf haben!

1. Die Yes Men haben die Website der Polnischen Regierung gehackt und den Artikel eingefügt;
2. Der Artikel ist echt und die Yes Men beanspruchen ihn für sich, um seinen Absurdität hervorzuheben;
3. Die polnische Regierung hat die Website der Yes Men gehackt, um die Schuld auf andere abzuwelzen…?
